Available Funding for Service and Volunteerism Projects

AmeriCorps*State Grants

AmeriCorps is a national service program, which engages Americans of all ages and backgrounds in community service to meet critical needs in the areas of disaster services, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, opportunity, and veterans and military families.

Each year, the Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism (GOSV) issues Application Instructions for organizations to compete for program funding to support AmeriCorps service activities. In general, instructions are released in September and February, and grant applications are due in November and April (respectively). These AmeriCorps funds are made available through the federal Corporation for National and Community Service; funds are limited and extremely competitive.

Eligible applicants include: private or public nonprofit organizations, state/local government, Native American Tribal governments, and institutions of higher education.

To learn about AmeriCorps funding, we highly encourage individuals and organizations to take part in our monthly funding overview webinar. Find all of our upcoming AmeriCorps funding overview webinar dates with links for registration.
