2010 Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards

The Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards is an annual recognition event for extraordinary volunteers across Maryland. The Governor’s Office on Service and Volunteerism accepts nominations in the following categories: Youth, Youth Group, Individual, Group, Business, Non-profit, Faith-based Group, National Service, Senior, Senior Group, Lifetime Achievement, and Special Recognition. A selection panel of nonprofit and business professionals, volunteers, and AmeriCorps members and alumni convenes to review all nominations.

The 2010 Awards Ceremony took place on Monday, April 19, 2010 in the Miller Senate Office Building in Annapolis. Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown gave remarks and presented awards, and Nicole Kirby acted as mistress of ceremonies.
